On August 18, Chen Jianguang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy President, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China MCC, met with visiting leaders and experts from domestic environmental protection agencies at China MCC Building, including Xie Yuhong, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of All-China Environment Federation, Gao Yunhu, Former Director of the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Senior Advisor of the China Industrial Energy Conservation and Clean Production Association, and Yu Hongwen, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the China Intelligent Carbon and Environmental Protection Collaborative Innovation Platform. All parties conducted in-depth exchanges on further strengthening industry-university-research cooperation and building a scientific research resource sharing platform. Zeng Jianzhong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of China MCC, attended the meeting.
Chen Jianguang extended a welcome to the visiting leaders and experts from environmental protection agencies, and briefly introduced China MCC's "One Innovation, Two Tops, Five Strengths" goal and its "One Core, Two Subjects, Five Characteristics" business system. He stated that China MCC actively responds to the national call for ecological civilization construction and thoroughly studies and implements Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization by integrating the protection of the ecological environment and the leadership of green development into all aspects of the enterprise's production and construction. As an important part of the "Five Characteristics" business system, China MCC has fully leveraged its "technological superiority", transferred core technologies from fields such as metallurgical construction and mine restoration, continuously expanded markets in areas including industrial wastewater and waste liquid recycling, mine wastewater treatment, sludge disposal, and environmental remediation for new pillar industries and profit growth drivers. It was hoped that this meeting would serve as an opportunity to further strengthen collaboration with various environmental protection agencies, deepen practical cooperation in industrial upgrading, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and establishment of a scientific research resource sharing platform to contribute more to advancing the building of a Beautiful China.
Xie Yuhong, Gao Yunhu, Yu Hongwen and other leaders and experts from environmental protection agencies spoke highly of China MCC's strategic layout and technological breakthroughs in the energy and environmental protection field. They stated that various agencies would give full play to their role as a bridge for government-enterprise collaboration by pooling resources in policy guidance, industry standard formulation, and international cooperation, and commit themselves to promoting collaborative innovation among upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, effectively narrating the stories of Chinese environmental protection enterprises, and advancing the integrated development of industry-university-research-application. It was a hope to work with China MCC, guided by the "peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality" goals, to carry out in-depth cooperation in fields such as wastewater treatment, mine restoration, and solid waste resource utilization for a new chapter in green development.
Relevant principals including Liu Yuanjun, Guan Ning, and Li Wei from the All-China Environment Federation, the China Industrial Energy Conservation and Clean Production Association, and the China Intelligent Carbon and Environmental Protection Collaborative Innovation Platform, as well as principals of China MCC's relevant subsidiaries such as Fan Wanzhu and Wu Shaohui, participated in the above-mentioned activities.
